REPLYLEAD / ACCEPTANCE STANDARD
Qualified sales meeting criteria.
A meeting is accepted only when four written tests all pass: buyer role, company, problem and next step. In the default example, 3 of 4 tests pass and the next step is unknown, so the meeting is not accepted. Unknown is not a pass.
Score one meeting against your standard
Replace the example sentences with the rule your closer will enforce. A pass means you would defend the meeting in a pipeline review. A fail means you would not. Unknown means you do not yet know, which is not a pass.
Three passes and one unknown is still a fail
The default brief passes role, company and problem. The next step is unknown. That meeting is not accepted. Changing the next step to pass makes it 4 of 4 and accepted. Changing any passing test to fail keeps it not accepted, and the failed test is the one to fix.
Write the rule in the text field before you mark the result. A pass with a blank rule is a pass you cannot explain later. The chart beside the headline is this same brief.
A lifecycle name is not your acceptance test
HubSpot documents Sales Qualified Lead as a lifecycle stage and describes that stage as someone worth time on the meeting calendar. Salesforce uses Sales Qualified Lead as well. A sales pipeline, in both companies' pipeline articles, is a later view of deals. None of those pages knows which role, company, problem or next step your closer will accept.
Keep their names for the CRM stage. Keep this brief for the meeting. When the brief and the CRM stage disagree, the brief is the one the closer uses.
Method
Score each test as pass, fail or unknown. Count the passes. The meeting is accepted only when the count is 4. Any fail or any unknown keeps the result at not accepted. The default is pass, pass, pass, unknown, which is 3 of 4 and not accepted.
The text rules are stored only in this browser tab. The calculator does not upload them. Analytics record that the button was used, not the rules you typed.
| Mark | Meaning | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Pass | You would defend this test in a pipeline review | Counts toward 4 |
| Fail | The test is known and it does not meet the rule | Meeting is not accepted |
| Unknown | You do not yet have the fact | Meeting is not accepted |

Questions
What are qualified sales meeting criteria?
Four written tests: the buyer role is one you sell to, the company is in the segment you can serve, the problem is one you solve, and the next step is a real action. In the default example, three tests pass and the next step is unknown, so the meeting is not accepted.
Why does one unknown fail the meeting?
An unknown is not a pass. If the next step is not written, a closer does not yet know what the conversation is for. Confirm that field before the slot is treated as accepted.
Who should write the standard?
The person who will take the meeting, with the person who owns the segment. A vendor lifecycle name does not replace your tests.
Is a sales qualified lead the same as an accepted meeting?
No. HubSpot and Salesforce use sales qualified lead as a lifecycle name. An accepted meeting is your later test that the conversation is worth a closer's time. The names are not interchangeable.
What happens when the brief fails?
Fix the failed or unknown test before asking for another meeting on that account. If the calendars are the constraint, use the closer capacity calculator.
Where this brief stops
It does not research the account, verify the job title or decide the commercial fit of a whole market. It does not apply when the four rules are still blank, because a pass then has nothing behind it. It also does not tell you how many of these meetings a closer can hold. That question is the closer capacity calculator.

Bring the standard to the work
ReplyLead runs cold email and LinkedIn. If the brief shows a meeting you would not accept, that is the standard the next campaign has to meet. If the meetings you would accept are missing, the next question is closer capacity.
